Early voting opens (Mecklenburg County)

  • February 15- March 2, 2024
  • During the early voting period, you can register to vote AND vote on the same day at any of the designated early voting locations in the county.
  • You will need a state-issued photo ID to vote.

  • Find the closest One-Stop Voting site.

Voting Absentee (by mail)

This year, an increasing number of voters are choosing to vote by mail (or absentee). North Carolina voters can now request an absentee ballot online. Once you receive your ballot in the mail, fill it out, sign it and have your witness sign it, and mail it to your county board of elections. Your ballot must be postmarked on or before Election Day. You can also drop your ballot off at a polling location during the early voting period. You are now able to track your absentee ballot.
